Angoor Remake is Still in Rohit Shetty and SRK’s Wish List

Rohit Shetty who earlier announced about the Angoor movie remake which is the remake of 1982 film by Gulzar and He confirmed the Shah Rukh Khan as lead actor but later due to the Busy schedule of Chennai Express and Dilwale they stopped planning more on that. Director recently completed the shooting of the Dilwale starring SRK, Kajok, Varun and Kriti in lead roles and now they got time to think more on Angoor remake.

“Actually, Rohit and I have been making Angoor since the past five years! We initially met for the Angoor remake, but ended up making several other films in the process.”, SRK Said

Gulzar’s 1982 film Angoor starring Sanjeev Kumar, Deven Verma is the Project for which SRK and Rohit Shetty was excited to remake but when Chennai Express came into the project there was no updates from Angoor. Later Dilwale came into the project but Still Angoor remake is in mind of Director Rohit Shetty.

“He even narrated the story and assembled the cast, but when he narrated Chennai Express, we started working on that project. Soon after we finished that, Angoor again became a topic of discussion — but then Dilwale came along. Now that we are finishing up Dilwale, we again discussed Angoor. But now he has started narrating another script altogether! So Angoor is ready, but every film takes its own course and that film will happen with time,” SRK added.

Angoor Remake Project is still into Rohit and SRK’s Wish List and they will make they get time and find appropriate characters for the role.
